Of the short stories we read for this class so far, my favorite one was “The Yellow Wallpaper.” I noticed the character from this short story was parallel to Eleanor from “The Haunting of Hill House.” Both characters seem to be lost in thought of what to do with themselves. For example, the character from “The Yellow Wallpaper” is confused when she thinks about what she is seeing in the wallpaper. She makes up all these things in her head while Eleanor also does similar things. She first is positive she wants to start a new life at Hill House, but as she gets there she doubts what will happen to her because of the appearance of the old house.  Both characters start to create confusion because they do not know what to do with themselves, for example at the end of “The Yellow Wallpaper” the character starts attacking her husband, John while Eleanor decides to look at the tower and almost falls over but is saved by Luke. Both of these actions indicate their haste decisions.
