Sandman

What intrigued me about the Sandman was that there seemed to be tension between whether these occurrences were coming from Nathaniel himself or were in fact true events. Even he is trying to convince others of his fear, trying to justify it. He tells the stories as if other people believed in them as well. For example, when he was discussing his childhood, he talked as though his mother was in on the story of the Sandman. Though this could be an exaggeration made by a terrified child. Furthermore, the future events concerning Olympia could be all accounts of a madman. Though, there is a possibility that all of these could be real and we could be in a supernatural world, I think more analysis of the story could prove either way.
